While he sold his vinyl collection in support of Elton John’s AIDS Foundation in 1990 for $250,000 he has since amassed a new collection in excess of 7,000 vinyl records. This may be due to the fact that he states “I buy five or six albums a week on vinyl.” His one of his latest purchases was a bootleg of Kayne’s Life of Pablo on vinyl which even he said “cost a fortune.”
Record Store Day 2017 will be April 22.
